Tuan Guru Dato' Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat berkata, masjid itu dibina bukan untuk penyatuan tetapi untuk menyemai benih perpecahan. "Kisah Masjid Dhirar bukan dongengan orang terdahulu, tetapi ada di dalam al-Quran sebagaimana dalam Surah At-Taubah di mana terdapat empat niat jahat maksud pembinaan masjid itu iaitu untuk menimbulkan kemudharatan kepada orang-orang mukmin. Another attempt at Catching-up
Hopefully, this will be the last catch-up blog. I’m going to try to bring you up to the current day. On the day after the last one above mentioned, our professor took us to the British Museum, which was only a short walk from our hotel. He had secured a private viewing for our class, where we were able to enter a private room and view actual copies of works by William Blake, the poet we are studying. Blake was an artist as well as a poet, and he fully illustrated many copies of his poetry. I’ve seen facsimiles of his work before, but they don’t compare to the real thing, of course. His prints (which he engraved himself) and watercolors, viewed in their original state, have a fabulous texture, vividness, and detail that cannot be seen in books. It is rather like the difference between seeing a real Monet and only viewing a picture of it. The picture never quite does it justice. Yesterday, kana caught by Mrs. Narin for low socks. I was (sort of) happy, because it was like the 1st time since school reopen has ANY teacher scold me for low socks. I was caught with my dear friend, Vanessa. So after that, we walked from the first floor all the way to the fourth floor and my leg was aching like crazy! Then, Natalie had to open her mouth and ask. She started saying that I did kui xin shi. What the. I was thinking 'Aiya, never mind.' Today, I had a music test. Do you know B flat? Yeah, there are 2 ways to playing it on the recorder, right? Well, I could almost get an A+, but because Madam Lim said that I played the 'wrong' B flat and now, I probably got a B-. I sort of cried because of that.
